Why I used mapping and what I have learnt from it
Using Mapping (a timeline with all timings of the start of a film) helped me to realize and see what and where I need to place certain things within a film. When I come to create my own opening of a film I need to know these key parts of information to place the opening credits in the correct place. Also by doing this I can see what is needed within the opening and credits. I looked at Becky Ward's blog (Friday 1st of November 2013) to see what mapping included which helped me see what I have to do and how mapping can help me with my opening.
Mapping of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The media mapping here is for the film 'The girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. By showing all the timings at the start of the film can help me see where I shall place mine when creating my own. The film genre is thriller this helping because of the genre I want to use with my opening sequence.

Mapping of Skyfall
The mapping is clearly labelled out the way it appears during the film. I have created this time line like image to show the credits sequence of the film 'Skyfall'.
Mapping -
Here is the mapping of the credit sequence from the film 'Fast and Furious 6'. It clearly shows when each section of information appears and the timings of it all.
